Creating a Culture of Cybersecurity

Phishing emails are the largest threat against your institution, and your employees are vulnerable to these types of attacks. It is challenging get employees engaged in identifying these types of attacks. In general, a strong culture helps an organization and its people successfully obtain objectives and creates a positive environment employees wish to be involved in. This session will explore ways we can create a strong cybersecurity culture that will strengthen your institution against cybersecurity attacks. We will focus on creating passion toward protecting sensitive information, compassion toward our vulnerabilities and weaknesses, and encouraging a desire for employees to be successful in your institution. Education and training is essential in achieving passion, compassion, and desire. We must work toward these objectives on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and focus on the entire institution from the top down.
